DeKalb ARES members are supporting communications for the 2026 Peachtree Road Race alongside neighboring ARES groups across metro Atlanta.

Amateur radio operators are welcome to volunteer for race-day communications alongside DeKalb ARES and other metro-Atlanta ARES groups. To sign up, go to the Atlanta Track Club’s volunteer portal and enter the ham-operator password:

The password gates the sign-up to operators with a hand in race communications — typing it puts you in the right roster the Track Club’s race-management team uses to brief and credential the comms team.

If you’ve never worked an Atlanta Track Club race before and want to know what to expect — the operational template (Net Control, SAG/PACE/MOTO units, AID stations, voice + APRS dispatch) is the same one used at the Atlanta Marathon in March.
